Brief information: Hutschenreuther-At the beginning of the 19th century, the search for "white gold" brought the young porcelain artist Karl Magnus Hutschenreuther to Bavaria. In 1814, Carl Magnus Hutschenreuther (1794-1845) founded one of the first private porcelain factories in Germany, located in Hohenberg an der Eger in northern Bavaria. Until that time, Carl Magnus worked as a porcelain painter at a manufactory in Wallendorf.

For the first eight years since the foundation of production, the factory was engaged only in painting finished porcelain products, since the state did not allow private companies to engage in the production of porcelain products, because. the state monopoly was not interested in creating competition for state factories. But after eight years of struggle, in 1822, Karl Mongoose Huchenreuther, obtained permission to manufacture his own porcelain products. The Hutschenreuther Porcelain Factory successfully operated and developed and earned an excellent reputation in the European porcelain industry. After the death of Karl Mongoose Hutschenreuther in 1845, the factory was inherited by his wife and sons, who continued the tradition of Hutschenreuther porcelain.
